Winter Hike on Mount Pierce via Crawford Path

Winter Hike on Mount Pierce via Crawford Path

Mount Pierce (4,312 ft.), part of the southern Presidential Range, has a flat summit with a broad, open area on the east side that offers striking views of the surrounding area.

We took the simplest route, accessible year-round, which is the Crawford Path. Crawford path offers a gradual climb, especially in winter when the trail is well packed. At about 3,500 feet elevation. It was an overcast day, but chilly, especially above treeline!

I love these little bridges!
Quiet Day on the trail.
Don’t forget to look up!
Too overcast for much of a view.

It’s cold, had to put all my clothes on!
